Yes, I’m talking about Cebu Pacific. Bwiset talaga sila. And the people here in the office are witnesses to my rage.
I tried booking online for my family. I have two kid sisters, one at age 11 and one at age 12 (at the date of travel). Since it says on their webpage (when you input the number of passengers) that Children are 2-12 years of age, I entered 2 as the number of children passengers. When I try to submit the “guest details”, which includes the passengers’ birthdates, I get the error that “Guest X is not with age range”.
I call their call center, dialed “3″ or “4″ (I don’t remember which) for “help with online booking”. I waited for the longest effing time, and finally a got a human on the line. I tell her my problem, and she tells me that my 12 year old sister is an adult. I challenge that a little bit, but what the hell, I try again, this time entering only ‘1′ child passenger. When submitting the guest details, I encounter the same error.
Now here begins the story of the incompetent customer service representative that should be fired and hung to die.
She asks me, am I using a desktop or a laptop. I answer, a laptop. Strike #1 — it makes no difference, as long as the browsers are working, I can access the website. The error has absolutely nothing to do with whether I am accessing the website from a portable computer or not.
She then tells me I should try to “refresh the computer”. I ask her, does she want me to refresh the browser or to restart my computer? She tells me like I’m a stupid b*tch that there’s a refresh button. Ah, she means I should refresh the browser. Strike#2 — she does not know what a browser is.
Of course, it was to no avail.
Now she asks me, “Okay naman po ba yung laptop niyo?” I answer, “Of course.” She then tells me, “Actually ma’am okay naman po yung system namin. Bago nga po yan eh.”
Irrelevant. Hindi porket bago, maayos na.
She then tells me to restart my computer. I tell her, that won’t make a difference. I tried booking online last night, and I get the same error. The difference last night was that it applied to both my sisters, and now it applies to only one of them.
Next, she tells me that “baka down lang po yung server.” I tell her “kung down yung server, hindi ko maa-access yung website.” Strike 3 —
AND THEN the line went dead. SHE HUNG ON ME! WTF!!!
