Mon’s a big American Idol fan (and he’s infected me with it), and he’s also a big Elliott Yamin fan (I prefer Chris Daughtry). So when he gets a chance to see Elliott Yamin live to promote his self-titled album, he won’t let it pass. Too bad they ran out of tickets for the seats by the time we got there (which was two hours before the show) — we had to take a spot on the second floor of the mall, overlooking the stage area. Because we were a bit far from the stage, I had to zoom in to get a shot of him and the pictures didn’t turn out well. The video quality is bad too, because of the distance and because I used a digital camera to record it, and not a camcorder.

From the Philippine Inquirer website:
God has apparently responded to a lawsuit filed by a Nebraska lawmaker, and one of the filings seems to have dropped in from the heavens. “This one miraculously appeared on the counter. It just all of a sudden was here — poof!” said John Friend, clerk of the Douglas County District Court in Omaha.
The response was one of at least two to a lawsuit filed against God last week by state Senator Ernie Chambers of Omaha, the state’s longest-serving lawmaker.
Signed by “God,” the response filed Wednesday argues the defendant is immune from some earthly laws and the court lacks jurisdiction over God.

St. Michael the Archangel is listed as a witness, Friend said.

Interestingness.

UP Pep Squad is 2007 UAAP cheer dance champion
The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad won Sunday the 2007 UAAP Cheerdance Competitions, dethroning erstwhile champion the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe by a mere margin before a full-house crowd at the Araneta Coliseum.
UP, which last tasted a cheerdance title in 2001, brought home a trophy and the top prize of P172,500 after they garnered an over-all score of 92.66 points.
The UP Pep Squad were nearly flawless all throughout their performance, banking on their rock-themed routine matched by their maroon and black get up.
I wish I watched it live. I was hooting and cheering by myself in front of my grandmother’s television set like a deranged kid. I swear UP rocked! Even my little sisters were chanting the “U / nibersidad / ng Pilipinas ” cheer now. Proud to be from UP!
The domain may be lost, but the urge to share my mundane thoughts is relentless.
Transience has risen from the dead!
